Cover Reveal for The Secret of the Blue Phantom

Okay, my own release of The Well of Time is a bit delayed–it might slide to early next year–but for the best of reasons. I’m helping my wife and daughter out with their own incipient books, and we’re planning to publish all at the same time.

This cover reveal is for my daughter Rowan’s debut novel, The Secret of the Blue Phantom, the first in a series. She’s chosen 1950s Boston as the backdrop for her supernatural detective story, and I think she’s done a terrific job.

Here’s the back cover summary:

They always see it coming,” McNeil said hoarsely. “He comes to the haunts of the guilty and confronts them with their crime. Then he deals out his ghostly justice…” he pointed to the sign of the Blue Phantom on the wall.

When his parents are murdered, Billy Holster feels like his life is over. But when his detective uncle adopts him, a whole new life begins: full of mysteries, murder, mansions, things that go bump in the night, and a mysterious vigilante known only as the Blue Phantom.
Billy tries to find rational explanations, but is drawn more and more into the realm of the supernatural as his questions multiply. Can ghosts be real? Why does the Phantom leave a Viking rune as his calling card? Is there any connection with the cold murder case that a famous detective has just re-opened? Why does it seem that everyone Billy meets has something to hide?

And most importantly, who is the Blue Phantom, and why won’t he leave Billy alone?
